Trinity College Dublin - Campanile 3D Decoration Silver

This beautifully detailed and skilfully crafted 3D decoration is a wonderful keepsake of Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, depicting one of Dublin’s most notable landmarks, the famous Campanile - Trinity’s imposing, mid-nineteenth century bell tower that stands in the centre of the University grounds.

With various representational carvings and statues above ground, the Campanile was designed by Charles Lanyon in 1855 and donated by the Archbishop of Armagh, Lord Beresford. Superstition holds that if students pass underneath while the bell tolls, they will fail their exams.

Presenting this exciting collaboration between Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin, founded in 1592 and Newbridge Silverware, A Living Heritage since 1934. This silver-plated keepsake featuring the famous Campanile of Trinity College Dublin, the University of Dublin comes with a protective anti-tarnish layer. Its pieces were cut out of thin metal sheets then skilfully shaped and constructed by hand. Suspended from a 140 mm blue ribbon, this beautiful and intricate decoration has etched pattern detail and is presented in a Newbridge Silverware and Trinity 1592 collection gift box.
