This book tells of the lives and the deaths of forty-six members of the Kildare Street Club and the Dublin University Club, and one member of staff, who died in the World Wars - some in action, some of wounds or disease, some in accidents and one who was murdered.
The stories are set in the trenches of Ypres, the streets of Dublin and the heights of Gallipoli, in the retreat to Dunkirk and on the River Kwai, and from the Battle of El Alamein to the invasion of Germany.
The deaths occurred from early in the first war to the end of the second. Michael Pegum is a Trinity College graduate, who studied medicine at the university.
