We pride ourselves in handling your orders quickly; however, some orders may take longer than others. We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays or public holidays. Orders received up to 12 noon GMT on a Friday will be processed that day. Orders after this time may not be processed until the following Monday. We will endeavour to get your order and products to you as soon as possible.
Orders may take up to 10 days from the date they are processed. Please note this is dependent on whether your item is in stock. Delivery dates cannot be guaranteed and may be disrupted by issues beyond the control of gifts.tcd.ie (including, for example, interruptions of our transportation systems or the services provided by our carriers, your bank or credit card).
Items ordered together may not be shipped out on the same day, and occasionally, some items are temporarily out-of-stock. You will be alerted to any shipping delay as soon as possible. Should there be any other delay associated with your order you will be notified within 10 days after placing your order.
Our standard shipping cost is €5.50 within the Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland. Our average delivery time within the Republic of Ireland & Northern Ireland is 2-3 working days. Bulky or heavy items may incur an additional cost, which will be displayed in your Basket and Checkout pages.
Our standard shipping cost to the UK is €10.50. Bulky or heavy items will incur an additional cost, which will be displayed in your Basket and Checkout pages. Our average delivery time to the UK is 3-4 working days.
Our standard shipping cost to the USA is €20.00. Bulky or heavy items will incur an additional cost, which will be displayed in your Basket and Checkout pages. Our average delivery time to the USA is 5-6 working days.
Our standard shipping cost to Australia is €22.50. Bulky or heavy items will incur an additional cost, which will be displayed in your Basket and Checkout pages. Our average delivery time to Australia is 6-8 working days.
If you wish to ship to a country not listed above, the relevant shipping cost will be displayed in your Basket or Checkout page.
Christmas is a time when there’s most pressure on delivery and courier companies. We will do our best to fulfil and have your order delivered for Christmas, but please allow at least 2 weeks to give yourself the best chance of not being disappointed and 3-4 weeks for international orders. We cannot guarantee delivery. Only Santa can do that.
A signature may be required to confirm receipt of deliveries.
The aforementioned dispatch and delivery times may vary for a range of reasons. Trinity College Dublin shall not be liable for loss resulting from deliveries outside the delivery periods specified above due to lack of product availability, delays from carriers, force majeure, or for any other reason.
We are happy to accept items returned to us within 28 days of purchase. We will refund your credit or debit card once the items are received and processed. Items returned to us after the 28-day period will be eligible for an exchange/credit. Any returns received outside this time frame may be considered at the discretion of Trinity College Dublin. Items must be returned to us in the condition they were shipped. They must be in an unused and perfectly saleable condition (unless defective when shipped). Trinity College Dublin reserves the right to refuse a return if it’s determined that an item has been worn and then returned for any reason other than being faulty. If any item is damaged on delivery, please return to Trinity Gift Shop for immediate replacement or refund.
We strongly recommend customers check their orders upon receipt, prior to disposing of any packaging. All original product packaging must be returned. Please package your return securely. We reserve the right to assess any damage incurred during return shipment and to refuse such items if necessary.
Return delivery costs on any non-damaged or non-flawed returns will be the responsibility of the customer. Please note that the item(s) are your responsibility until they reach our offices. We recommend that you use the registered post option from An Post or similar from your courier company.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org and we will email you returns documentation. This documentation details everything you need in order to return or exchange your purchases.
Fill out the required fields on the sheet, including whether you are returning or exchanging your purchases and the reason for your return/exchange. Place the returns information sheet along with the purchases to be returned into your returns package and send it back to us. We will process your refund/exchange as soon as we receive your package. We advise you to retain proof of postage.
We can give you a refund for the item as long as you're named on the order as the recipient. Otherwise, we'll need permission from the bill payer. Please contact us at email@example.com and we can discuss your options.
